Various Deaf Schools

 

Various deaf schools also exist in the Philippines that can perfectly cater to the communicative needs from those in the Deaf community pursuing education. One of the most well-known of these is the Benilde School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS), located in Malate, Taft Avenue in Metro Manila. They offer Degree Programs for the Deaf community and FSL Classes for the community, with Bachelors in Sign Language Interpretation, Bachelor of Applied Deaf Studies, JHS and SHS Deaf School.

There is also the Philippine School for the Deaf (PSD) located in Pasay City, but they only offer primary and secondary education, up to senior high school, with Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) which includes, Home Economics, Information Communication and Technology. They also offer Alternative Learning System (ALS)

The Manila Christian Computer Institute for the Deaf (MCCID), located in San Mateo, Rizal. They too offer FSL classes, with programs involving a three-year Diploma in Business Technology for the Deaf (DBT), a three-year Diploma in Arts and Computer Design Technology for the Deaf (DACDT), and a one-year Certificate in Sign Language and Interpreting Course (CSLI).
